NCC Inspired by Art #2 - Lace Doilies (Crochet Art)

So I decided to go a different route when being inspired by art. I like to knit and crochet which is considered yarn art. Doilies are so pretty and delicate looking. I have a stamp plate of doilies so I went with that idea.

NCC Inspired by Art #1 - Black & White

My first mani inspired by art is from a set I am really digging on right now. I like matching art sets and I really like black and white sets the most. I came up with my own set that would be cool to have.

Holly Berry Mayhem - My Actual Xmas Mani

Here is the mani I wore on Christmas. It isn't much but I liked it. I wore another one of my polishes which I do enjoy doing. I need to make some more soon. I just have too many hobbies and not enough time or space to do them all.

Merry Christmas!!

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas. I hope you are having a day filled with joy and happiness... and hopefully awesome presents! Hopefully you don't have to work like I do. Oh well, that's the life of working at a casino.

Xmas Dot Wraps

So I decided to be a bit cheesy and used a set of Christmas nail wraps. I have a few different Christmas nail wraps laying around. I bought this set earlier this year during one of the Sally Beauty Supply Clearance sales. The base is brown with metallic red, green, and silver dots.

A Quilted Cinnamon Kiss Just Be-Claws

I thought it would look cool to do a quilted mani. I thought the contrast would be greater but it still looks ok. I don't usually sport any kind of red nails so this seems a bit weird for me but red is one of the Christmas colors so I just went with it.

Christmas Trees

I thought I would do something a bit Christmas-y. I haven't done any holiday nails yet and there's less than a week left! It's the time passing by I swear! I went with something easy and painted on some Christmas Trees :) This gave me a chance to use one of the Christmas polishes I made last year.

Ms. Conduct likes Buttered Rum and Chocolate Mousse

I can't believe it's been a week since I posted something. Time is flying by way too fast. I can't even account for what I did to waste all that time. I did work hard last week was very tired and worn out. I dunno. I am going to set myself a goal to try to post at least every other day starting in 2014.

This mani reminds me of chocolate chip cookies for some reason. Maybe it was because they smelled like chocolate! I hadn't done a tip in a while so this was a nice change. I actually wore this for a couple days.

There's Snow One Like You

Look... it snowed on my nails! I thought it was supposed to snow yesterday which would have been awesome but it didn't. Anyways, I recently bought China Glaze There's Snow One Like You from Ulta during a polish sale. I really liked how it looked in other blogs and I do like it in person. It actually looks a bit better in person. I thought about adding something to it but decided to keep it fresh.

*UPDATE* I received a counterfeit item from the Sears marketplace...

I am so angry right now! I had bought a MAC lipstick in Riveting Rose from a seller on the Sears marketplace and it turned out to be fake. I called Sears 5 different times to get this resolved and I had to go to PayPal to get a refund. The customer service representatives for Sears didn't seem to care that I received a fake item. It is so aggravating when a big company like Sears won't assist its customers. I will never buy anything from anyone affiliated with Sears again i.e. Kmart! I wanted to let anyone who reads my blog to know that Sears cannot be trusted with products they sell online.

*UPDATE*
I contacted the BBB and WA State Attorney General about the incident and both are taking further action. Sears contacted me back regarding the BBB complaint. They said they would look further into the issue with the vendor and gave me a $10 egift card. I guess they think that is OK. Redtagonline is still selling from their site so I don't think they are really working on it. This is the link to the site ... http://www.sears.com/m-a-c-sexy-matte-lipstick-riveting-rose-clearance-sale/p-SPM7949288417?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1.

I was asked to post pictures so here they are. I also took pics of one of my MAC lipsticks to show the differences I am talking about.

This is the box it came in

Here is a front view of the fake lipstick

This is the side view

This is one of my MAC lipsticks purchased at a MAC counter.

This is the label on the bottom of the fake lipstick

This is a real MAC label.

This is the fake container with the lid off. It should have the MAC logo on it twice around.

This is the real one. The logo is on the other side too.

This is the color they sent me... NOT Riveting Rose. Riveting Rose is a dark plum color. And as I had mentioned before, no scent!

Here is a link to a blog that shows what a real MAC Riveting Rose lipstick should look like... http://bowerofblisse.blogspot.com/2011/04/mac-lipstick-in-riveting-rose.html

My Birthday Skittlette mani

So I just celebrated my birthday and this is what I sported for my mani. I must apologize that my thumb looks bad and I really don't know what happened. It got stained somehow but all my other nails are good to go. It's weird. I went for the presents with bows look. It also gave me a chance to try out Cult Nails Disillusion.

NCC Favorite Color #4 - Jade Butterflies

So I remembered I hadn't used any of my Mo-You plates. I am actually excited to use them. I got to use one of them here. This was my last green mani for the month of November. I do have to say this is my fav of the four but that's because I was having some issues n stuff.

NCC Favorite Color #3 - Chita Dots

For some reason I feel drained and unmotivated these days. No idea why. I haven't had any urge to paint my nails all pretty. This mani is plain but I still like it. It almost looks Christmas-y.

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Turkey Time

I had so many cute ideas for today's mani but ended up just doing a stamp. This is the first time I have put any type of feather look on my nails. I like it more than I thought I would. I wish I had added more color before the top coat but I spaced it. I probably would have messed it up with my luck. Now I have to figure out a Thanksgiving mani for the last one of this challenge.

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Jewel Tones

Today is all about jewel tones. I had so many choices but figured I would go with this blue because I have Lynnderella Sapphire Starfire and that definitely counts as a jewel. I added some gold rings to complete the jewelry look.

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Fireside

I gotta say that this Fireside mani just came together on its own. I had no real idea what I was going to do at first. I am excited that it turned out pretty cool looking. It had been a long time since I did a matte mani too.

11/21/2013

NCC Favorite Color #2 - Masquerade

I am pretty excited that I get to show this off today. This is Masquerade by Cult Nails. It is a pretty dark teal color with a nice multichrome shimmer from pink to green to gold. I wish I had pre-ordered more than one set since it is already sold out. The two other polishes are nice too.

Absence...

I thought I would apologize for my absence this week. I have had to work 7 days in a row which wore me out as well as change my shift hours. I now work 6 hours earlier than I was. I am just about caught up on sleep n stuff and will catch up on my challenges soon. See you then :)

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - First Frost

Today's mani is about the first frost of the season. I love and hate frost... love it when I look at it but hate it when I need to drive. My windows get all fogged up and it takes forever to get warmed up. Along with the first frost are mittens because it is cold outside. So that's where I went with this mani.

NCC Favorite Color #1 - Do You See Green Opal?

As most of you know, my favorite color is green. I am glad this month is all about my favorite color because it gave me a reason to use my recently purchased Lynnderella Do You See What I See? I really don't need an excuse but haven't had a chance to wear it yet. I also used another untried polish for this mani.

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Spiced Up

This one took me a minute to figure out what to do. I knew I wanted to use my Butter London Brown Sugar polish but that was it. I came up with apple pies which are full of yummy spices. I also used one of my mini Ruby Wings polishes and my nails smell like cinnamon! Like I said... Yummy!!

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Harvest

Today's theme is Harvest. I thought it would be cool to do some layering for this one. I decided a brown base was perfect to put flakies on top of. I don't usually wear brown polish but for this occasion it just seemed right.

NCC Halloween #4 - Steampunk

I dressed up in a steampunk outfit and am showing off my actual Halloween mani. I am excited because I made my necklace, earrings, and decorated my hat. I forgot how much I love making jewelry and stuff like that. I am pretty sad that I didn't really get any pics of my costume.

11/01/2013

FFNAC - Halloween and NCC Halloween #3 - Cute Monsters

I'm posting this a little late and pulling some double duty. I'm posting this for both challenges I'm doing now. I wanted to do a Halloween mani using these cute little monsters. They probably wouldn't be so cute if they really existed. I'm just sayin.

October 2013 Ipsy bag

It has been a month or two since I showed off an Ipsy bag. I think it is mainly because I would forgot until the next month has already arrived. Anyways, I gotta say this month's bag was nice... I received some make-up remover wipes, a nail polish, a makeup brush, pigment, and stuff for my hair. I am excited about everything!

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Other Realm

I was excited for this one because there are so many options to choose from. I really wanted to do a witch mani because I wanted to use the other Halloween Lynnderella "Are You A Good Witch?" polish I bought a while back. I realized it went perfectly with I♥NP Birefringence because the color shift is very similar. So I decided to stamp on a witch hat and boots to go with the question.

10/27/2013

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Bump In The Night

Well I had a few ideas for the Bump In The Night theme decided to go with bats. I thought it was something different. I found a couple different bat stamping images and decided to throw in a gradient. I think it turned out pretty cool.

10/25/2013

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Creepy Crawlers

Well here is another Halloween mani of some creepy crawlers. I gotta say I hate spiders a lot! I had a wolf spider crawling on my face about 8-9 years ago and it freaked me out. Talk about scary. It was huge! Luckily, that was in Vegas and I haven't seen any super huge spiders in WA.

10/23/2013

NCC Halloween #2 - Sugar & Skulls

This isn't a scary mani but it is about skulls which are def in the Halloween category. The only issue I had with this mani is that my nails are all nubs since I broke a nail yesterday :(. Due to the nub, the skull stamp didn't fit my whole nail. I don't think it's a huge deal because it still looks kinda cool.

Breast Cancer Awareness mani w/ Lynnderella Mon Petit Chou Chou

At work, we have employees that join in the long walk for Breast Cancer Awareness  I wish I could join in but my Fibromyalgia prevents me from going too far. I thought I would do a Breast Cancer Awareness mani using it. I can definitely finish that! I will probably do another one soon using my OPI Pink of Hearts 2013 set. I gotta get it posted in between all of my challenge manis.

Falling For Nail Art Challenge - Sweet Treats

I decided to be unoriginal and paint a version of candy corn nails. I actually didn't know what else I could easily paint. I decided to sponge the colors... well just the orange. I'm not very good at just sponging probably because when I tear my makeup sponge, it isn't very rugged. I think it still came out cool looking.
