NCC Inspired by a Tutorial #2: Chalkboard Nails Sugared Stars and Stripes Tutorial

So this was inspired by a tutorial from Sarah at Chalkboard Nails. I adore her manis and have thought about doing something similar for a while. I used different colors then she did but only because I didn't want to do something bright during winter.

I started off with two coats of Julep Shenae which is a really light mint green. I used two of my Orly striping polishes for the blue and silver.

I used some blue painters tape, my star hole punch, and Zoya London for the textured stars. I painted the polish on instead of sponging it on which was kind of a mistake because the textured look should be stronger. I still like it though.

Sarah's tutorial can be found here...

  1. Aww, I love this mani! So cute! Stars <3
    I saved the very same mani to my inspiration folder, but lacking the hole puncher, I haven't tried to recreate it yet. Seeing yours, it's definitely worth trying. But just why are those hole punchers so expensive ^^;;

  2. I think I used a Michaels 40% off coupon when I bought it. I just wish it was a little smaller since my nails stay short.
