Foundation Routine Flawless Skin (Full Coverage Tutorial) Cystic Acne & ...

I was reading an article on the power of makeup and found this video. I think it is amazing. It goes through foundation tips. It made me want to get MUFE HD foundation. I have always wanted to get it but never completely sure. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the video.

Trippy Coral

So I was bored waiting for an appt. yesterday and decided to stamp my nails. I actually brought the stamping tools and Red Angel plate RA-106 just in case I decided to do it. The pattern also matched my top I wore yesterday. The stamp definitely takes away from the holographic effect of the base. What do you think?

Ways To Sleep Better

Getting a good night’s sleep is important to some people. For me, a decent night’s (day for me right now) sleep is the difference between the nice me and a gremlin: less than nine hours and I turn into a monster... grrr. Guess that's why they call it beauty sleep :)

When it comes to sleep, everyone is different. Some people can get away with as little as four hours and others need up to 11. Both, and anything in between, is considered normal. Sleep-deprivation can leave you grumpy, irritable, forgetful, and groggy and has a major impact on the brain. Getting a good night’s sleep is important and has an impact on both your physical and mental well-being.
Here are some ways to sleep better:
  • Try a relaxing warm shower or bath – not too hot or this will have the opposite effect. You could also try some oils such as lavender to help relaxation.
  • Switch off the TV 30 minutes before you want to go to sleep.
  • If your mind is racing, try writing down what is bothering you and tackle it the next day.
  • Turn off and put down your mobile and don’t check any emails before going to sleep.
  • Have a warm milky drink or herbal tea but avoid any caffeine as this is a stimulant.

TBD STUDY: THE WATERLINE

photos + post by amy nadine, design by eunice chun
I wanted to do this particular experiment to show you how the laws of shading apply to the waterline as well: lighter colors reflect and open up areas by bringing them forward while darker colors absorb and close up areas by pushing them back. So once again my lovely assistant Carissa loaned me her baby browns so we could capture the three looks and report the differences.
WHITE LINER: This definitely opened up the eyes and made them appear the biggest, but in a more obvious way as one can see the white liner. But who cares as it’s a chic throwback to Sixties, especially if you were to pair it with a liquid winged liner and contoured crease. I used Chanel Le Crayon Khol Intense Liner in Blanc because its color payoff is unmatched.
NUDE LINER: This also opened up the eyes, making them look larger, but in a very natural and undetectable way. I seriously doubt anyone would notice you took the extra 5 seconds to rim them with liner, but they’ll notice your eyes look bigger. I used Stila Kajal Liner in Topaz.
BLACK LINER: This closed up the eyes and made them look a little smaller, but in return, they look way more piercing, as if they could look right through someone! That’s worth giving up a little in size, I think. And call me crazy, but somehow it makes her eyes look a little further apart from each other, don’t you think? Hmm… interesting… anyway, this is a must for nighttime fun as it completely changes your look. I used NARS Larger Than Life Longwear Liner in Via Veneto because I know it really lasts and won’t wear away after an hour.

BB Creams

So I am trying to find a BB cream for me. I have bought some samples and so far I'm not too impressed. All of the Skin79 creams made my face look pasty white... YUCK! I do like the Smashbox BB cream but I'm not sure it's worth $30 or so for a full size. Anyone have good brand suggestions?

From left to right... Super+ Beblesh Balm, Luminous Pearl Beblesh Balm, Super+ Beblesh Balm Triple Function, The Prestige Beblesh Balm (all 4 from the Skin79 BB Cream Black Mini Set), and Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream in Light/Medium.

A little too much excitement...

So I hit up the local Dollar Tree and was browsing the small nail section and found some nail art. When I saw the micro beads I went nuts... I tore through all of the racks and bought all of them... only 5. I really enjoyed the caviar nail I had done last week. Now I have more colors and can do different looks. I also got some glitters but those aren't as exciting for me.

Metallic Green and Sapphire Water Marble

So this was the second time water marbling and first for doing all nails. Talk about time consuming! I chose two colors I thought would look great together and they do but it is harder to see the marble effect. The green seemed to take over.

Heritage Rouge Golden Olive

I was looking through some pics of looks that I like and found one similar to this. I decided to use colors that go with the headband I wanted to wear.
