Nebula

So I ordered a polish from Ninja Polish last week and it came in the mail a couple days ago. It is awesome!!! The name of the polish is Nebula and I gotta say that it kinda reminds me of a galaxy. It is a really pretty duochrome jelly full (and I mean FULL) of holo and duochrome glitter.

#12 Let It Snow Challenge: Winter Wonderland

I am now behind in this challenge. I haven't felt motivated to polish my nails everyday. I'm sure this is very temporary. I am trying to get rid of some of the clutter around my house and I think it is overwhelming me. I am hoping that it will be finished by the weekend. 

Anyways, here is my winter wonderland mani. I decided to keep it simple. I have a cute stamp plate with a cute dog that is snow skating. As you can see, my nail on my middle finger tore and had to be cut down to severe nub status. I am cutting down the rest to match. They grow back fast enough.

Cassie's Lilac Jumbo Glitter

So here is my first mani after the break. I figured out I need to try to use glitter and the repair won't show. It probably would be hard to see. I dunno. I didn't have a lot of time to test it out. Besides, I have had this Nabi polish for months and needed to use it. Good excuse right?

February Birchbox

Here is my February Birchbox. It is just okay for me. I am not excited about anything in it. I am excited that I won a contest to get a Starlooks box for free. I cancelled my Beautybox subscription because I haven't been excited about the samples I get to choose from. Hopefully I don't end up cancelling my Birchbox too. Get better please!!!

Sweet Star

I am showing off a polish I threw together. I wore this a few days ago. I forgot to post it and found this a perfect opportunity to do it because I just got a bad tear below the nail line. It really hurts :( 

I think this would have looked better over a darker polish because it would probably be easier to tell the different colors. 

Aurora's Eternal Beauty

It was a purple day. I am showing off another one of the Color Club Halo Hues. This one is Eternal Beauty from the 2013 set. I really like the shade of purple. I decided to show off another polish I recently got which is Zoya Aurora. These pics are taken under indoor lighting... imagine how they would look outside :)

Starring Kismet

This is amazing... SUNSHINE!!! I was actually able to take pics in the sun to show off the holo effect. I am trying to show off each of the 12 Halo Hues I have.

#11 Let It Snow Challenge: Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope everyone had a great day. Here is my actual Valentine's day mani. I didn't want a lot of pink since my last few mani have been mostly pink. I had so many ideas and just didn't want to clutter my nails with too much. I got hearts, kissy lips, and a written excerpt about love. 

Beyond Broken Hearted

Here is a quick post. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and so I am showing off a mani full of pink and hearts. I have a few ideas and thought I would showcase them in the next few days. 

So I applied two coats of Color Club Beyond to all my fingers except my ring finger. Beyond is one of the 2013 Halo Hues. It is a black rainbow :). I used OPI I'm Indi-a Mood for Love for my ring finger. I painted China Glaze Broken-Hearted on my pointer, middle, and pinky fingers.

I grabbed my blue painters tape and heart shaped hole punch. I punched a bunch of holes in the tape, applied the tape, and painted polish over it. I used Beyond over I'm Indi-a Mood for Love and vice versa.

This pic was taken indoors with regular lighting. I really hate how much the holo polish is dulled. I wish it was sunny out :(

I used the flashlight from my phone for this pic. I really wanted to show off some of the holo effect. I can say that this looks way better in sunlight from other Color Club Halo Hues polishes I own. 

Here is a close up of my thumb. I guess I needed to clean up my hearts a little bit. Oh well. They look perfect in real life. It's not like anyone who sees them is looking at them that closely.

'Lectric Pink

So here is one of my creations. It is a nice raspberry pink jelly filled with fuchsia pink hex glitter and purple iridescent slices. I love the pop of purple from the strips. So I thought I would name it 'Lectric Pink. Cute right?

No More Copperhead

I bought a new polish from Sally Hansen Copperhead because it was on clearance at Rite Aid. It is from their Luster Shine line. That means it shift colors. This one shifts from a copper to purple. How awesome is that? I wasn't too excited with the two others I had bought but this was only $2.49 so I had to pick it up. I am such the clearance shopper. You should see all the goodies I bought from Sally's today. They are having their 50% off clearance plus if you spend $3, you get a free Orly polish from the old packaging. Anyways, I got off track from what this post is actually about. 

Lovin' on Cloud Nine

So here is a cute mani with holographic hearts. I actually wasn't going to do hearts but needed a stamp image that would really show off Color Club Cloud Nine which I used for the stamping polish. I ran across this one and thought it was just so cute. 

#10 Let It Snow Challenge: Hot Chocolate

So this is my rendition of hot chocolate on my nails. I think my mani does look like it though I should have added some marshmallows. Gotta have marshmallows in hot chocolate!!! I tried to make my thumb and ring finger look like the top of the hot chocolate with the little bit of foam.

Recreate someone else's mani from earlier in the challenge. This one ended up being easy since I missed my chance to show off my OPI Liquid Sand polish and Ana from Posh Nail Art showed hers off. Now I get to do just that :) I don't have the same color though I wish I did. I'll tell you why later.

The theme of my mani here is my own favorite technique. I really love using polishes that I have made in some way. I also love gradient manis. This one includes both.

Anyways, I decided to change up the colors since it is February now. I hope that is ok. It is almost Valentine's day after all :)

Crumpet's New 31 Day Challenge: Day 28

My favorite color is green which is the theme for Day 28. I decided to do a mani using the fan brush method. I have tried this before and love the effect. I used a different brush than before so the brush strokes look a bit different.

I found a nice surprise when I started painting my nails with my new Pretty & Polished Spring Fling polish. This came in the grab bag and I hadn't tested it until now. I had no idea it was a color changing polish which is completely awesome since it is my favorite color. The theme for this mani is inspired by me.

The theme here is a mani inspired by my country. I wanted to try something new and different. I haven't done a ruffian. I was actually suprised how easily I managed to create it without messing up.

#9 Let It Snow Challenge: Snowman

Well I am sad that I couldn't really even attempt to create a real snowman this winter. It hasn't really snowed. Luckily, I don't need snow for this mani. For those who were wondering where I've been, I waited a week so Valentine's Day mani actually happens during the same week.

Harp On It

This is a quick post to show off Color Club Harp On It. I am using it as a base color in a couple manis I'll be posting tomorrow. This one is the silver holo polish from their Halo Hues collection.

I applied two coats for a fully opaque finish. I love holo polishes but especially love the linear holo polishes like this one :) I wish it was sunny out to take pics because they would really sparkle.

Crumpet's New 31 Day Challenge: Day 25

Well this one was really hard to do. I couldn't decide what to paint on my nails. At first I was thinking about Southpark but that was after high school which reminded me how old I am.I went all the way back to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I used to love that show. Michelangelo was my fav :)

Angel Overboard

I decided to take a one day break, which was yesterday, from posting. I still have to finish my 31 day challenge which I hope to have done by the end of the weekend. I also have to do a mani for the Let It Snow challenge. It was kind of nice doing something without a theme.
